A Family's Hope

This fundraiser is organized by the Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs' Association to benefit one of our members.

2024 was supposed to be the year of dreams. A year filled with joy, love, and the promise of a bright future. Keleigh and Wendolin Marquez had it all: a loving marriage, two beautiful children, and a stable career. Their family was complete, their hearts full.

But fate had a cruel twist. In the blink of an eye, their world was shattered. Their precious baby girl, Zoey, was diagnosed in early December at only 7 (seven) months of age with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. A diagnosis that no parent should ever have to hear.

Now, instead of celebrating holidays and cherishing precious moments, they're facing a battle for Zoey's life. Days are filled with fear, uncertainty, and the weight of impending medical treatments. Keleigh, a devoted father and hardworking deputy, is forced to put his career on hold to be by his daughter's side. Wendolin, a loving mother, is torn between caring for Zoey and their older son, Aiden. Aiden is not even old enough to visit the hospital per their rules.

The financial burden is immense. Medical bills are piling up, and the family's savings are dwindling. Every day is a struggle, and there is constant worry about the future.

We can't undo the pain, but we can offer support. We can help alleviate their financial burden, allowing them to focus on what truly matters: their daughter's health. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a significant difference.
