Please take a moment to read our story. ❤️
A young mum of just 29 was diagnosed with terminal cancer caused by a ROS1 gene mutation while pregnant with her first child. Despite receiving this devastating diagnosis, she went through four rounds of chemotherapy during her pregnancy, fighting every single day for both her own life and her baby’s. At 30 weeks, our beautiful daughter, Isabella, was delivered safely and is now receiving specialist care in the Neonatal Unit, where she continues to grow stronger every day.
I never imagined I would have to write a post like this, but today I’m asking for help for my family.
In early February this year, our world was turned upside down when my wife, Tia, received this heartbreaking diagnosis. What should have been one of the happiest times of our lives became a journey filled with hospital appointments, chemotherapy, uncertainty and fear. Tia spent over five months in hospital, fighting through treatment, complications and endless days away from home. She has only been home for two weeks, and we are still adjusting to a completely new way of life.
Despite everything she has endured, Tia has shown incredible strength, courage and love every single day. She has fought not only for herself but for our daughter too. Isabella has already overcome so much in her short life, and even through the darkest days, she has given us hope and a reason to keep moving forward.
Our lives are now split between spending every possible moment with Tia, visiting Isabella in the Neonatal Unit, and trying to hold our family together through the most difficult time we have ever faced. Every minute together is precious, and we’re doing everything we can to create as many memories as possible.
The emotional and financial strain has become overwhelming. We’re asking for help to ease some of that burden by supporting travel to and from the hospital, everyday living expenses, baby essentials, and giving us the chance to focus on what matters most being together as a family without the constant worry of finances.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean the world to us. Every contribution, every share, and every kind message genuinely makes a difference. If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser could help us reach someone who is.
To everyone who has supported us, kept us in your thoughts and prayers, and stood beside us throughout this journey thank you. Your kindness, compassion and generosity have carried us through some of our darkest days, and we will never forget it.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you can give.
❤️ Lewis, Tia & Isabella
