Donation protected
As you may know, we recently and unexpectedly lost our beloved Auntie Lupe, known to most of you as Lupita, and her son Michael, known to us as Mikey. She was a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor to all. Lupe meant so much to so many and we're all extremely devastated by this enormous loss.
We're starting this gofundme to help alleviate some of the overwhelming expenses her surviving son, our cousin Cameron, has incurred thus far. While preparing to lay his mother and brother to rest, Cameron has experienced unforeseen delays in death benefits and overwhelming expenses. Therefore, he is now faced with the enormous burden of covering the mounting costs in order to avoid further delay.
Our precious Auntie Lupe was a beautiful spirit who loved to help others in need. She was hardworking and always willing to lend a hand. After retiring with nearly 32 years at GM, she continued to work part time and continued to help others in any way she could. At this time, we are now asking for help with any blessings (financial assistance) you may be able to offer. Any contributions made will be used to help lay Lupita and Mikey to rest, no amount is too small. If you're unable to help financially, we ask that you please keep Cameron and all of our family in prayer, as we send our beloved Auntie Lupe and Mikey to their eternal resting place.
Costs:
-Total funeral (mortuary and cemetery) costs for both = $26,000
-There is a fund for $7,000 that has been awarded
-There is another fund for $2,500 also awarded

***Update per gofundme of who I am and withdraw plans: For any of you that are curious, my name is Marisela, known to most as Sela. Lupita was my Auntie Lupe and Mikey was my cousin, therefore I'm Cameron's cousin. Thank you doesn't seem like enough, in trying to help ease the financial burden/funeral expenses of the loss of my Auntie Lupe and my Cousin Mikey.
On November 19th my cousin Cameron was notified that insurance benefits to pay for the funerals would not be available, due to beneficiary issues, therefore there was no money to pay to lay my Aunt and Cousin to rest, as he/we had thought/hoped. Cameron's Favela cousins (Lupita's nieces and nephews) did not want him to worry about any of the financial aspect and worry about coming up with money on his own for their funerals; we felt he already had a lot to deal with, with the tragic loss of his Mom and Brother, so we took it upon ourselves to start this gofundme, I as lead. The funeral home needed to be paid in full by Friday, November 22nd, and once we realized we wouldn't be able to withdraw the money and receive it in time from gofundme, I got a personal loan for the $16,500 to pay off both the mortuary for both my Auntie Lupe and Mikey, and the cemetery for both. I now need to pay that loan off and will do so with the gofundme withdraw, once it is finally approved and received. The money remaining that was generously donated from all of you, once received, I will send directly to my cousin Cameron to help pay for additional expenses that come up while closing my Aunt's apartment, closing her and Mikey's bills/accounts, etc.
We were able to lay them to rest together, with the utmost love, respect, and honor, as they deserved. All food, flowers, and the mariachi that were at the beautiful service honoring and remembering my Aunt and Cousin, were sent as separate loving gifts/donations from friends and family of the Cullen's/Favela's.
I originally did not want to put any of this info, because I did not want my cousin Cameron to worry about it. I will not disclose the name of the funeral home/cemetery for our family's personal reasons/privacy.
