A Family Shattered — And a Community Needed Now More Than Ever
There are moments in life that break us… moments that no family should ever have to endure. Right now, one family is living through the unimaginable — and they need all of us to hold them up.
On a quiet day that should have ended with her safely at home, 23-year-old Anastasia McGill was tragically killed in a single-vehicle crash. Killed on impact. Gone in a moment.
But Ana was so much more than a headline or a statistic.
She was a daughter.
A twin.
A sister to two younger siblings who adored her.
A student chasing her dreams.
A sarcastic, quick-witted light who lit up every room with her smart-ass remarks, her laugh, and the best hugs you could ever receive.
Her loss was sudden, devastating, and completely unexpected. There was no time to prepare. No time to brace. This family must now somehow plan a funeral for their beautiful girl while trying to survive a grief that is too heavy for words.
But the tragedy doesn’t stop there.
This year, their loving mother Tanya was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She fought through chemo — which did not go as hoped — and just underwent major surgery on Monday, December 1st. She has had to give up school and leave her job at the pharmacy to focus on surviving. This journey will be long, exhausting, and financially overwhelming.
This family has been hit again and again, with heartbreak no one should ever experience… not in one lifetime, and certainly not all at once.
Right now, they cannot stand on their own — but we can stand for them.
Please donate if you can.
Share this campaign with everyone you know.
Let this family feel the strength, compassion, and love of a community that refuses to let them fall.
Let’s help them lay Ana to rest with the dignity she deserves.
Let’s give Tanya the time and support she needs to heal.
Let’s show this family they are not alone.
Now is the time. Please help.
Update January 2 2025. Thank you to everyone who has donated, it means so much.
We'd love you to continue sharing this fundraiser. The family is still grieving the loss of Ana, and has medical and travel bills for Tanya.
Huge thank you, to everyone. Here's hoping for a smoother 2026!
