Help a family recover from an attack

Hi, I'm Al. I'm raising money for my dear friend Veronica.

Veronica has a violent ex-husband. I, like most of her friends and family, worried for years that he would one day show up and try to hurt their family.

Then one day he did.

He showed up one morning at 9am. With a sword.

Yes. With a real sword.

Fortunately, Veronica hid the children away (but not before he shattered a window nearby). Her mother called the police, and her father distracted him and tried to talk him down. The ordeal ended better than I could have hoped. But he did shatter 5 windows with that sword.

Now, the violent ex-husband is in jail awaiting trial. But Veronica has lost child support and has a $4,000 bill to replace the windows. Those aren't cheap.
