I've created this GoFundMe on my dad's behalf. For a man that does so much for people and never asks anything in return. If you know me and my family, we are prideful people and don't like asking for help (even when we probably should).

My dad has had 3 heart attacks, 2 strokes, quadruple bypass in which he almost didn't come out of anesthesia, COPD and now a Stage 3 Lung Cancer diagnosis. His main objective is to make it to my daughter's high school graduation. Now our main objective is to get him there. He's already been to the ER three times this month, two of which had been extended stays (one of which he was exposed to COVID by a staff member).

My mother has been trying to get AMLA through her job because she has to keep taking time off from work to help him and it's been THREE WEEKS, still no answer. I'm unemployed due to health reasons and that leaves my mother the breadwinner.

We can't afford all the extras that are needed that insurance doesn't cover (let's be honest, we all know that's an unreasonable amount). He needs a stair lift (we were quoted $3490) to be able to get to and from appointments, he'll need a walker, eventually a wheelchair, a ramp off the front deck, we aren't sure how expensive chemo and radiation treatments are, he has debilitating panic attacks and we couldn't get his medication refilled because it had 3 more days before insurance would cover it.

He's done so much for others and my family, he deserves the best possible quality of life and peace of mind we can give him. His prognosis is a year but we're determined to extend it to at least 3.5 years. I want him to know he's not alone in this life, people DO care.
