My name is Aimee Buckley, me and my husband Jesse run a small bar called the Jugg on Teall in Lyncourt/Syracuse Ny. We have tried to create a family friendly location with live music, food, and great people to surround you as you visit... We have put our blood, sweat and lately tears into the first few year's we have been open. We have in return just about broken even at time's but mostly we are constantly in the red when it comes to the financial part of the business, however we have gotten by everytime somehow. Bar business has it ups and we alllll know it has its downs especially a new bar business.. I have such an amazing staff, not sure what I did to be so lucky. So, fast forward... a day you would never forget, not for any other reason than complete heartbreak and devastation.. My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 voice box cancer, he was the main cook and in return this has left our kitchen inconsistently ran, honestly I think we all thought he was coming back and we are all still in shock that this is the reality, so he hasn't been replaced still to this day which leaves times when we have to shut down on a weekly basis bc we don't have anyone to cook. This diagnosis has left us struggling to pay our bills, not only at the bar, but personal as well.. He is basically in bed all day everyday, not only have I lost the presents of my husband/best friend but inreturn I have been trying to do everything I can to keep us afloat. This also will effect my staff, which I have not even looked in the face, and said that we are im some shit,you guy's should be looking for other job's, if anything they are all amazing and they deserve that from me. I WOULD NOT be as far as I am if it wasn't for my staff, thank you so much, I owe you this and I am right here with you doing the only thing now I feel I can do to keep The Jugg alive.. My husband is a very giving man and he will be ashamed of me for even crying out, but I don't know what else to do...We have put all our savings into this bar, I can't even think about how it will be to lose it... All that I ask is if you can help us, then please, if not please don't set yourselves back by helping us, the defeats the purpose.. We are at a time of need and I am reaching out with much love to ask you to help us get through these time and back on our feet..
