As we prepare to close this fundraiser, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you who supported Nanay Aida and our family during this incredibly difficult time.
Because of your generosity, prayers, and kindness, we were able to give her the care, dignity, and support she needed. We are truly grateful for the love you have shown us.
We are currently just waiting for the remaining funds to be transferred, after which this fundraiser will officially close.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for standing with us. Your compassion will never be forgotten.
UPDATE:
With heavy hearts, we share that our beloved Nanay Aida Aquino has passed away.
She fought bravely for so long, and we are grateful for every moment we had with her. We would like to thank everyone who prayed, shared, and extended their support during this incredibly difficult time.
Your kindness helped us give Nanay Aida the care, dignity, and support she needed throughout her fight.
All funds raised will go toward the remaining hospital bills and medical expenses incurred during her treatment.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion and generosity.
Our family is urgently asking for your help to save the life of our beloved mother, Nanay Aida Aquino.
On December 5, 2025, Nanay Aida was involved in a serious vehicle accident in the Philippines, resulting in severe neurological and physical injuries. Since then, she has been in and out of the hospital, including multiple ICU admissions, courageously fighting every day to survive. Doctors have now advised that she urgently needs an operation to give her a real chance at recovery.
Nanay Aida is a loving and hardworking wife, and a deeply devoted mother of five. She has always been the heart of our family—selfless, resilient, and always putting her children before herself.
Our family is doing everything we can to support her. I am Jonathan Bustamante, the husband of one of her daughters, Jovi Mae Bustamante, who works as a staff nurse at University Hospital Limerick. Her sisters are also nurses—one serving at Children’s Health Ireland in Crumlin, and another at Willow Brooke Care Centre in Casteisland. Despite being healthcare professionals, this situation has been incredibly difficult for all of us, both emotionally and financially.
Over the past months, the cost of hospital care, treatments, and continuous medical support has completely drained the family’s savings. We have even had to borrow money from friends just to continue her care.
We are now at a point where we can no longer carry this burden alone.
We humbly ask for your help—any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward Nanay Aida’s hospital bills, urgent surgery, and ongoing care. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to us.
Your kindness, prayers, and support give Nanay Aida hope and a fighting chance to recover.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
