A Family in Mourning: Help Support Natasha, Todd & Children

On January 30, 2025, Natasha and Todd suffered every parent’s worst nightmare, the sudden loss of their beloved son, Haåkon. A brother, grandson, cousin, and dear friend, Haåkon was a kind and creative soul who loved art, nature, and helping others. Despite facing immense trauma and battling addiction since the age of 13, he never let his struggles define him. He was caring, funny, and wise beyond his years, always trying to see the good in every situation. Just days before his passing, he was filled with hope after completing his very first job interview, excited for his future.

Natasha and Todd have dedicated over 25 years to caring for children as Early Childhood Educators, treating every child with the same love and attention as their own. Even while navigating their own challenges and fighting hard for their son’s future when he himself could not do it, they never stopped helping others.

Now, they need our support. No parent is ever prepared to bury their child, and the financial burden of such an unexpected tragedy is overwhelming. While they have a very small amount available to use as they recently began saving for their upcoming wedding in August, it is nowhere near enough to cover expenses for Haåkon's funeral and the funds they will need to ensure they can stay home with their children and grieve as a family.
