On Wednesday 25th March at around 8pm our first family home exploded as it was struck and destroyed by direct lightning strikes!!

Myself and my family came away unharmed but traumatised by the event, but our beloved family home was left in ruins.

Our house has suffered catastrophic damage. We have lost sections of our roof leaving two gaping holes which have been exposed to the good old British weather, causing further damage. Our conservatory has been shattered and all content inside damaged. All of our light fixtures and fittings have been destroyed. Parts of our ceiling is falling in. Northern Power have disconnected the electricity supply to the house for everyone's safety. Possible asbestos exposure and lack of ulitities leaves our home completely uninhabitable.

Whilst the main repairs are covered through our buildings insurance, our day to day living costs are not. Without electricity supply to our house we are without a functioning kitchen, all of our refrigeratored/frozen food has gone to waste leaving us unable to cook a basic meal.

Finally after hours of back and forth with many third party companies we have been allocated temporarily accomodation, but sadly lacking the simple amenities. We have no cooking facilities, no laundry facilities and no permanent plan for the future.

This entire experience has been very distressing and I can only hope and pray that things become settled soon for the new arrival who is due in 4 weeks times.

I have been very reluctant to set up this Go Fund Me page as I completely understand the financial strain that every one of us faces but if you could spare a small donation to help us with the immediate costs and get us back on our feet it would be massively appreciated by me and my family.
