Hello! My name is Keila Reyes, I’m 18, and I’ll be a freshman at Lander University this coming school year. I’m a Mexican-American student with a 4.0 GPA entering this fall semester majoring in psychology. Although I have received aid through my academic accomplishments, unfortunately it is still not enough to cover the many expenses that are involved with pursuing a higher education. Unlike me, my mother did not receive the opportunities that I have been blessed with. Luckily, with hard work and perseverance from my mom and my family, I have been able to come this far, but as many of you know, life is never certain and always changing. After my little brother Jack was diagnosed with severe autism, my family faced many difficulties like understanding what his needs are and adapting to care for those needs. His necessities, such as the many therapists and specialized care, on top of our own family struggles has made it incredibly difficult to pay for the education my family has worked so hard to give me. My mom’s dedication to my future has granted me the first steps into achieving a better life. Now my goal is to lessen their burden as they did for me and in order to do that I have to take advantage of the opportunities she didn’t have. I’m humbly asking for your help covering these expenses. With your help we can provide relief to a mother that has gone to the moon and back for her children. Every little bit counts and will go directly toward my tuition fees and student debt. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me, and thank you to my family for getting me this far.

Thank You,
- Keila V. Reyes

¡Hola!

Gracias,
- Keila V. Reyes
