A Family Devestated by Cancer.

Hi, my name is Dee and I'm trying to raise money for a wonderful man and family who has been devastated by the "C" word.

Not only did Deana fight Cancer, now John is in a great fight.

John was diagnosed with cancer in Nov 2023 they confirmed in January he had Oropharyngeal cancer which is back of the throat cancer. He received 6 weeks of chemotherapy and 30 days of radiation. On day 26 of radiation John took a big turn and ended up in ICU on life support almost dying twice. He lost his ability to swallow and most other functions in his body. They inserted a peg tube (stomach tube) so he can eat. He uses a pump to help hydrate him as he cannot swallow anything at now.

He had a pet scan in August and the results came back that the cancer is still there. On December 10 th he will undergo a 6 hr surgery on his throat to remove the cancer. With a week or more hospital stay right before Christmas. The family is struggling trying to make Christmas happens for their family with his wife and daughter being his caregivers now.

The love that the ball community has shown in the past can not be ignored, let’s try our best to show this family the love we all share for them.
