On Saturday, August 2nd, our father, Don Joslin, suffered a devastating accident. After standing up too quickly, he fainted and fell face-first to the ground. The impact caused his neck to hyperextend, and he required emergency neck surgery. Since then, he has had no feeling or voluntary movement from the chest down.
Our family has been taking turns flying to New Mexico to be by his side. Our goal now is to move Don to a rehabilitation facility in Minnesota so he can be surrounded by family, friends, and the community that loves him.
Don is a proud Vietnam veteran, having served in the Navy. While the VA is offering support, much of the cost for travel, specialized care, and relocation will fall on our family.
Beyond his service, Don is a gifted artist and musician; an accomplished watercolor painter, a classically trained guitarist, and a professional photographer who has inspired so many with his creativity and passion.
We are asking for your help to bring Don home and give him the best chance at recovery. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in getting him the care and support he needs.
Thank you for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity.
