I’m a grandmother from the backwoods of Mississippi—an ordinary person--led of the Lord in 2003 to embark on a voyage that would lead me into unchartered waters: acting, modeling, and more.
This Campaign is for my first faith-based, low budget, independent movie--a joint venture with Master June Daguiso of MJD Productions, LLC. My life is the inspiration for this movie. Those who have read my memoir were inspired. Now I want to make a positive impact through film by encouraging many who feel that they have no hope for tomorrow.
We are a Christian family who has encountered significant problems, pain, disappointments, frustrations, hurt, suffering, and great tragedy. LIFE!!! Yet, it’s a story of romance, miracles, forgiveness, and triumph. Unbroken Love!
From 1953 to 1987, there were 900,000 to one million families (including mine) who were affected by toxic drinking water at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. This cover-up was one of the worst environmental disasters in the history of the United States. For years, we were unaware of the cause of unexplained illnesses and atrocious diseases. What my husband suffered, and much of what my biological children and I endured, tracks back to the chemicals discovered in the base water. My husband, Kenneth (1956-2018), and firstborn daughter, KaShanta (1977-2015), both Veterans, died in my home. I was their caretaker.
With your help, this project will come into full manifestation. Losing my husband made me a widow. Losing my beautiful daughter made me speechless. I don't know of a term in the English language to describe the loss of a child. This film will be a family legacy to commemorate my hero and my shero forever. Their suffering was not in vain.
Anything you give will be much appreciated. I will not be able to complete this project without your help. I’m not opposed to any amount, but there is a $5 minimum for gofundme campaigns.
Luke 6:38 Jesus said, “Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over shall men give unto you. For with the standard of measurement you use [when you do good to others], it will be measured to you in return.”
Thank you in advance for the seeds that you plant. May the Lord Jesus reward you handsomely for your sacrifice.
LOVE and BLESSINGS!
