A Fairley Good Cause

Danny Fairley, Sr and Ruthie Fairley have been happily married for 40 years. They are both loving parents, caring grandparents, and excited great grandparents. For years, they have walked in Christian love towards their families, friends, and members of the community.

Chapter 1: Dan, The Man

Danny, also known as Big D, has worked the bulk of his life as a licensed, bonded, and insured plumber and electrician, from which he retired. With his God-given skill, he has been a staple in the Town of Moorhead, Mississippi and the surrounding areas! He is a guitarist and after professing a hope in Christ, he used his talent as a musician at the Trinity House of Prayer Church. He was blessed to record an album of songs that still are played on the local radio station. Affectionately known as PeePaw by his grandchildren, and Uncle Dan by his extended family, Dan has given, supported, and helped his community for many years.

Chapter 2: Ruth Means ‘Beautiful Friend’

Ruthie has lived a life full of service to the elderly, the destitute, and the less fortunate. She accepted the calling of God on her life to embark on missions among her church family and the community. Consequently, she became a licensed missionary in the church. She has assisted elderly to doctors appointments. She has also fed the elderly in her community. For years, she worked hard dispensing commodity boxes to senior citizens in Moorhead. When her fellow church members would be convalesced in their homes, Ruthie would live up to her name in being a “beautiful friend” by loving them, taking care of them, assisting them, praying for them, and even feeding them. In many cases, she has been that beautiful friend until their transition.

Chapter 3: Blessed to Be a Blessing

Dan & Ruthie have been so selfless in their endeavor to keep God’s commandments. As a testament to that fact, they recently took in a friend of the family. Mr Charles Johnson was displaced by a fire in his home on February 21, 2021. Finding himself essentially homeless, he turned to the Fairleys for help. Dan & Ruthie opened up their home to Charles for lodging. In addition to providing a safe living situation for Charles, Ruthie also transports him to his medical appointments as he undergoes chemotherapy, and she assists him in handling business affairs.

Chapter 4: Memories Don’t Burn

Sadly, on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 the Fairleys lost their entire home and all its contents. Unfortunately, this would be the second house fire and total loss for Mr. Charles. For nearly 40 years, they have been the homeowners of their 2-storied 5-bedroom 4-bathroom home. All that they called home was engulfed with untamable flames that roared and claimed the abode at 1312 Martha Street. Although they lost all of their worldly possessions, may God be praised that they all survived and that no one was home during this tragedy. The invaluable memories created during the communal Thanksgiving dinners and the hosting of friends & family will never disintegrate.

Chapter 5: Sparks of Hope

With this campaign, we ask that you would consider donating generously in helping them rebuild their lives. Your donation will go directly to them in purchasing clothes, food, lodging, and fuel for doctor’s appointments, among other miscellaneous purposes. We kindly thank you for sparking hope back into the lives of Dan, Ruthie, and Charles.
