A dying man’s wish to attend the Kentucky Derby
Tax deductible
64-year-old, Bill was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer last year, April 2021. Since the news on that devastating day, he has sustained 2 brain surgeries and multiple rounds of chemotherapy/radiation and clinical trials, all while working and raising three adopted children.
Like many, Bill has a Bucket List. One of the top items being to go to the Kentucky Derby. Since a young boy, this has been on his Bucket List as he attended local horse races with his Mom, then carrying forth the tradition with his own family. Traveling to Louisville, KY to see the “ultimate horse event,” always a dream. Of course, Bill thought he had more time "in his retirement.” Unfortunately, because of the nature and aggressiveness of his disease, this wish must be now; the next event in May. Will you help us send him and his lovely wife?
Bill is an extraordinary, selfless, giving and godly man. A provider for his biological family of four and foster parent to over 30 children in the last 10 years. Just last year, he and his wife, Lori adopted newborn, Cooper; preceded by 7-year-old, Chase and 6-year-old, Tejay adopted years prior. Just a few months before they welcomed baby Cooper into their family, Bill was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, turning their lives upside down. A avid runner, swimmer and bicyclist, his wall of medals include 2 successful completions of the ultimate event, the Iron Man triathlon. It is this strength of mind, body, spirit, faith in God and love for his family that provides Bill the resilience and gratitude to fight this disease.
With your help, a non-profit, Bucket List Foundation, can help Bill’s dream come true; providing him a wish of a lifetime.
