Hi, friends and strangers alike, I am doing a gofundme because I want to hire a 3d artist to create some truly scary Hmong ghosts/monsters and put them inside my video game that I am creating.
The game is about a couple drinking each other's blood, only to have one died and came back to haunt the other one. This is a classic story of our hmong people, but with a twist.
I have talked to some of the 3d artists, and the average cost of a realistic model is around 2-2.5k each. That does not even take into consideration the price of the concept arts, rigging the characters, and animating them. That's why I am asking for 10k and up.
The models that I want to hire them to create are :
- poj ntxoog
-Pee Kong Koi
-Pee Nyuj Vai
-Mos Hlub
-And some other ghosts that are wandering in the spirit realm.
As you can see, the costs are way more than 10k, but the 10k is just for the base donation. If I can get more, that would be even better!
I really want this game to be known not only in the Hmong communities, but also to other people. Of course, to not fall into the trap of what we called "scope creeps" that has taken many many developers into its abyss to never be seen again, or come out broken, I will not be creating a long game, nor try to make the game out-of-the-world great. I know my limit, and by going past it, I will just bring the game to a deadly zone, and it will take a very very long time before the game will be released. I'm sure that is not what you and I want to see. I will just focus on what I have in my mind and will not wander too far from my path. That is not to say the game will be dull and boring. Far from it! I will make sure the game will be as scary as possible.
