This wonderfully thoughtful and crazy lady has somehow managed to keep a vibrant spark while navigating a daunting medical mystery…
♀️
Over the past two years, Valerie has been to almost every kind of doctor you can imagine, sometimes several doctors of the same specialty. Among all the doctors she has had multiple blood and iron transfusions, ER visits, pain induced depression, and so on. Like a champ she goes from office to office; incredibly she always leaves with the same hope for an answer she entered with.
Fortunately; I suppose you could say, the last ER visit was lucrative with information nudging us in a direction. With that info she had extensive blood work done, aimed at a particular autoimmune indicator to determine potential diagnosis.
Unfortunately, she remains debilitated from her normal life, but more hopeful now the mystery be being unraveled. The little monster that has been evading all diagnosis, is exposing itself as systemic lupus (SLE). SLE is a nasty chronic condition that must be treated swiftly, as it is the Organ Killer Autoimmune disease.
The diagnosis of an Autoimmune disease is absolute; SLE is not, but likely. If so though, treatment will be catered to her particular condition, as SLE treatment is intensive even sometimes requiring Chemotherapy. Whatever it takes to get her better though, and give this lil’ lady some relief and closure.
With $1000’s already spent and loss of income due to the persistent crippling symptoms, money has begun to dwindle. This unfortunately adds another layer of worry and concern that she definitely cannot have weighing on her. Which leads me to why I am asking for a little help during these times. Anything, a nickel, dollar, hundred, bottle of aspirin can make a difference. Every donation will go directly to cost of getting this wonderful lady better!
Thanks for your kindness and positive thoughts!
Hope the today is great and tomorrow is better!
