News! This week we where offered by PGL Drone Techniek to support us for a whole year in our project. The only thing that is left to do is making it possible to purchase that drone!
For 10€ we thank you on social media. For a donation of 50€ or more we reward you whit an invitation on our site and a site-specific photo of the project.
We are Grofweg architects and we make installation art projects from in-situ materials. We use transient materials, that is why our projects are most of the time temporarily visible . It is telling a story about space and time. We create a world that has just been emerged or is already disappearing and we trust the power of imagination and the experience of the viewer.
The Big Picture project was started by Grofweg Architects and finds its origin on Terschelling during the Oerol festival where we built an installation of sand, in a theatrale setting named Radius 2018. After this installation and dance performance, we launched a new project that focuses on education and participation.
The goal is to collect images that are processed into an animation, which is accumulate globally. This film could find its way for example to an international film-festival. The film is a awareness process to generate a collective consciousness, which is about construction and distraction, about connection and movement, about transience, a regenerating process, nature and social engineering. About upscaling, how we look at what we make, something that is part of a bigger plan and that has a fixed form but is also elusive. A work in proces!
The Big Picture works best with improved material, such as a professional drone. For instance, it should deliver a stable and high-quality image, with face down position option, adjustable fixed height versus coordinates and can draw a template over the location.
When we have a professional drone, it will help us to create our ideas into a film. Every image counts and can be used for Grofweg: The Big Picture. With this money we can purchase the drone that is needed to elevate our project and obtain a pilot license.
