Hi friends, family, and supporters,

I’m reaching out with gratitude and hope to ask for support for my son, DJ, who has been given an incredible opportunity to travel to Spain for two weeks to play basketball internationally.

DJ is 24 years old and a shooting guard at Lindsey Wilson College in Kentucky. Basketball has always been more than a game to him—it has been his passion, his purpose, and his dream. His goal has always been to play basketball at the highest level possible, and he has worked tirelessly to pursue that dream.

Like many athletes, his journey has not been without challenges. Over the years, he experienced injuries and personal struggles with mental health that caused setbacks and moments of uncertainty. Yet through it all, he showed resilience, faith, and determination. He never gave up—on himself, his education, or the dream God placed in his heart.

Now, as he enters his final semester of college, he has been approached with an opportunity to play basketball in Spain, gaining international experience, professional exposure, and personal growth both on and off the court. This opportunity represents not only basketball, but redemption, perseverance, and answered prayers.

The total cost of the trip is approximately $4,000, which covers all travel-related expenses. Our fundraising goal is $6,000, as we believe—and were taught—to never travel without having resources available for daily needs, emergencies, and living expenses while abroad.
