A donation to support the funding of medical equipment

A little update:

Following this go fund me set up, my Dad has since past away, and it has been very difficult to comprehend. But the original reasons are below, but the importance does not change. Please support the funding aid, to enable me to purchase the required equipment.

At the funeral we faced true importance of the need for this equipment.

Every add helps us get closer to achieving the goal.

The original reason for the fund:

Hi, my name is Michelle, I am an RGN and I play many roles in the lives of others, one being a daughter to a lovely strong man who is my dad.

Recently we required the support of the paramedic team, who used specialised equipment to help my dad up from the floor.

Working in nursing and care homes, I realized we rely heavily on the services to aid getting people off the floor in the community or care environments, which can place added pressure on the services, especially if there are no injuries sustained to a person, a nurse should be the first one to make a decision to call for an ambulance.

So, having seen the simple but very effective equipment, I have come to realise, no care or nursing homes or any community hub has any equipment like this to support a person from the floor; which could leave further skin damage, pain and discomfort, due to long hours on the floor. I have known someone have to wait on the floor for over 6 hours, which can be detrimental to anyone, especially a person who requires palliative care and doesn't have access to a hoist.

Which is why I need your help!

I would like to purchase around 6 or 7 x or more (depending on how much can be raised) of the cushion risers for some of the nursing homes in and around the area, one for the Rugeley community hub, to support with any community needs in the local area and one will be supplied to the direct local area.

I do not have the funds to be able to support this plan at the moment, but really would like to ask for your kind generosity to help me achieve this goodwill to support and alleviate some of the services impact.

Each cushion costs around £1,600 on the current deal, but are known to be up to £1800 without the deal.
