Hello. My name is Nara. I’m 51 years old and about to start my own business.

I have been away from a regular job and salary since 2010, when I chose to stay home being an informal carer to my Mum, who needed this full-time support. Whilst at home, I found new interest in arts and crafts. I rediscovered myself work wise, mainly in creative sewing: I learnt a new skill, a new possibility for work and ended up creating my own amateur brand of handmade fabric accessories.

Naturally, the time and the wish came, to take my new acquired skills into a shop, where I also aim to give training, hoping to inspire others to (re)discover themselves and, who knows, take on the wish to start their own business and become their own boss further down the line.

I applied for a shop space and I was a successful candidate. I need to deal with some essential work to get the shop running, expenses that amount to about 10.000€. Some friends have encouraged me to ask for public support via GoFundMe, as I am unable to apply for Bank loans. So here I am.

Your money will be put into the shop, to help me through the conclusion of this initial business process. And because we're all connected, your money will also be of contribution to all that come into contact with my shop and my project.
