I'm trying to raise the funds I need to get a vaginoplasty by a surgeon in the Netherlands called Doctor Kanhai. After two long years of legal battles to try and get my insurance to help me cover these expenses, the court ruled in their favour. This means I'll have to pay for the whole surgery myself, including aftercare.

I can't hold a job because of my disability, so money has always been hard to come by for me. While I have a bit of money saved up and some lovely family members willing to pitch in what they can, it's by far not enough yet. That's why I'm starting this GoFundMe, to cover the remaining amount.

There are a few reasons I want to go to Doctor Kanhai specifically.

These reasons are:

I have thought long and hard about whether or not I want Genital Reconfiguration Surgery. I have come to the conclusion that I do want it, despite the risks involved. The way my body is right now just doesn't feel right. Having genitals that better fit my gender identity will already heavily alleviate my dysphoria. The added functionality that Kanhai's technique offers doubly so.
