Vanessa (Bunessa) is a Dallas-based artist who is dealing with a lot right now. Emergent dental needs keep getting worse. She is unable to eat even soft foods comfortably and her condition has been extremely painful since October, along with extremely painful migraines the wisdom tooth cavity has been making worse. The dentist at the low-cost clinic said they cannot treat her, as the wisdom tooth is impacted, erupting, and has a cavity. The impaction on this wisdom tooth was caused by the now-infamous Smile Direct Club, a dental scam that sold the promise of perfect teeth at a low cost. The cheapest option for getting this wisdom tooth out is $80 for a consultation and $350 per tooth, with up to 4 teeth requiring removal. This is to be paid upfront. She will not be able to get any sort of care until January 6th 2026 due to the holidays impacting scheduling.
