On February 9, 2026, our family lost Tevena Stegall in a sudden and tragic car accident. She was only 50 years old and was killed on impact. Her passing was completely unexpected and has left our family devastated.

Tevena leaves behind her disabled husband and her service dog, whom we are now doing our best to help navigate this heartbreaking new reality. She was his rock, his support, and his constant, and the loss has been overwhelming.

This tragedy also came just two days before her grandchild’s 7th birthday. Tevena was her granddaughter’s best friend—their bond was something truly special. The heartbreak of losing her so suddenly has been incredibly hard on her and on all of us who loved Tevena deeply.

Tevena was the kind of person who helped everyone she could, in any way she could. She gave without hesitation and loved without limits. Her kindness, generosity, and presence meant more than words can express, and she touched so many lives—including mine in ways I can never fully explain.
