Our hearts are completely shattered as we share the news of the sudden and tragic passing of Hunter Howell this week. Hunter was only 22 years old—a life that was just beginning, full of promise, and anchored by a smile that could truly light up any room.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Hunter knows that he was the kind of person who would literally give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He lived with a generous heart and a kind spirit that touched everyone he met.

Because of his young age, this tragedy was entirely unexpected. Hunter did not have life insurance, and our family is now faced with the overwhelming task of arranging a service that honors the incredible person he was. We want to give Hunter the proper, dignified service he deserves—a final "thank you" for the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.

The loss of Hunter will forever change our family. We are reaching out to our community, friends, and anyone moved by Hunter’s story to help us cover these funeral and memorial expenses. We will hopefully be posting the dates and times as soon as we can, and then we will invite all family and friends to join us in celebrating Hunter's life at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home (Taft Street location).
