A Different Kind of Fight

If you know me, you know how hard this is to write. I've never been one to put my personal life out there, let alone ask for help, but this fight is different.

Back in Nov 2024, I completed radiation treatment for a brain tumor. Life was starting to feel normal again...until March of this year when I became extremely ill on a cruise. As soon as we docked in Miami, I was rushed to University of Miami Hospital where I have been since Mar 15. I have since learned that the tumor I fought so hard against has turned cancerous and has now spread into my spine, bones, and pelvic area. On top of that, I am also dealing with a blood clot and an infection in my brain. I underwent a successful brain surgery this past Wed, and I am currently staying strong. With that said, the recovery is long and very overwhelming. Being out of work this long is difficult for me as I desire, more than anything, to be healthy and surrounded by my freinds and colleagues. This is something I never expected, and it is killing me to sit still like this.

Unfortunately, bills and expenses do not stop just because I am not well. For that reason, I have taken the advice and encouragement of my amazing freinds and colleagues to set this up. I hate asking for help, truly, but if you can support in any way, whether through a donation or just sharing this, I would be forever grateful!

I'd be remissed not to say that I fully understand there are folks out there going through far worse-I know that. But if you feel led to help, it would mean everything right now. Thank you for even reading this!
