My name is Samiksha Dhungana. Together with my sisters, I am raising funds to help my dad, Mahendra Dhungana, who is battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer called sinonasal melanoma inside his nasal cavity. We are desperately seeking financial support to restart his immunotherapy treatment, which had shown positive results before we ran out of funds.

In November 2022, our lives changed forever when Dad was diagnosed. He underwent surgery in Nepal, but the tumor grew back before his wound could heal. Doctors at Apollo Hospital, Delhi, recommended immunotherapy, but since that treatment isn’t available in Nepal, we had to go to India for his care.

Over the past few years, we have exhausted every financial resource, draining our savings, taking loans, selling assets and seeking help from family and friends, spending over Rs 1 crore on his treatment. Last year, through GoFundMe, we were able to raise $7,000, which helped cover one life-saving dose of immunotherapy. Unfortunately, we could not continue, and now in 2025, Dad’s condition is worsening rapidly.

He is only 56 years old, a loving father of four, and the main carer of my grandmother, who is over 90. Despite his pain, he has always been a selfless and kind person who helps others without hesitation.

This fundraiser is our last and most desperate attempt to save his life. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward restarting the treatment that once gave us hope.
