A Decade of Hope for Bosnia's Youth

I am running this year’s NYC United half marathon on March 16, 2025 to raise funds for Bosana Foundation, where I have been involved as a board member for the past decade.

Bosana provides scholarships to underprivileged youth in Bosnia-Herzgovina and since its inception has changed lives of many students. The Foundation has awarded 165 scholarships since its founding in 2010 with impressive results: 88 students have completed their B.A. degrees, with additional 3 in process of completing their Ph.D. degrees and 36 working towards Master’s degrees.

Giving the gift of education is the most powerful gift of all. I know this firsthand as a scholarship recipient at my college, which literally changed my life. I hope with my run to raise enough money to support 4 new students in Bosnia to have a real shot at changing their lives by being able to attend university.
