Friday, March 7, 8:45 PM.

Culinary class just ended, and everything was normal. After months of working daily, I finally had a few days off. I was looking forward to rest, spending time with my 21-year-old daughter, and simply enjoying the peace of home. I set up the couch, released the puppy, petted the kitty, and settled in. I was a little more tired than usual—hungry, thirsty—but nothing alarming. Then, my eyes started to water. I reached for eye drops, but suddenly, my head was overtaken by a pain unlike anything I had ever felt. It wasn’t just a headache. It was fire.

I held my head as if it was going to roll off my shoulders, pressing with all my strength, but the pain only grew. My ears felt like they were screaming from the inside.
