A Daughter's Plea: Help for Mom's Cancer Recovery

Donation protected
My mom, Tracy Knight, is facing the fight of her life and needs your help.

Here's the timeline, in mom's words:

My world changed in an instant. What started as an ordinary night turned into the beginning of the fight of my life.

Friday, March 7, 8:45 PM.
Culinary class just ended, and everything was normal. After months of working daily, I finally had a few days off. I was looking forward to rest, spending time with my 21-year-old daughter, and simply enjoying the peace of home. I set up the couch, released the puppy, petted the kitty, and settled in. I was a little more tired than usual—hungry, thirsty—but nothing alarming. Then, my eyes started to water. I reached for eye drops, but suddenly, my head was overtaken by a pain unlike anything I had ever felt. It wasn’t just a headache. It was fire.

I held my head as if it was going to roll off my shoulders, pressing with all my strength, but the pain only grew. My ears felt like they were screaming from the inside. The intensity made me feel like I was losing my mind. My daughter called my mother, who suggested Tylenol and ice. But the ice only made it worse. My breath became shallow. Desperate for relief, I went outside, but the fresh air did nothing. We looked at each other, and at the same time, we knew: Call an ambulance.

Friday, March 21, 2025.
The results from the biopsy finally came in. The doctors explained that the headaches, the shortness of breath—everything—was caused by stage 4 metastatic melanoma tissue in my brain, lungs, and adrenal glands. Despite the name, it has nothing to do with the skin.

My world changed in an instant.

I have spent my life giving—through food, through wellness, through my work, and through my love for my family and friends. Now, I am facing the fight of my life, and I need your help.

The road ahead is uncertain, but one thing is clear: I refuse to give up. Your support will help cover medical treatments, specialized care, and the resources I need to keep going. Every contribution, every share, and every kind word means the world to me.

I have always believed in the power of resilience, and I am holding onto that now more than ever. Thank you for standing with me.
