Help My Sister Lay Her Father to Rest While Caring for Her Critically Ill Baby

On what should have been a day of celebration—her birthday—my sister received news that shattered her world.

While sitting in a hospital room over 2.5 hours from home, holding her 5-month-old baby who is battling multiple severe genetic disorders and complications, she was told that her father had been found deceased in his home.

There are no words to describe the weight of that moment—navigating the unknowns of her son’s fragile health while suddenly facing the unexpected loss of her father.

Now, in the midst of her own storm, she is left with the heartbreaking task of making final arrangements for a man she loved deeply, with limited means and no time to plan.

We are raising funds to give her father the proper burial and memorial he deserves—and to help my sister in this incredibly overwhelming time. A portion of the donations will also support travel expenses between Charleston, SC (where her baby must remain for specialized care) and home, as well as other critical needs that arise while she juggles grief, motherhood, and medical crisis.
