FIRST OFF ID LIKE TO THANK EACH AND EVERYONE FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ OUR STORY!

Hi, I am a mom to a 5 year old little girl . I'm reaching out for help to hopefully get enough to get a cheap little car. Currently trying to leave a controlling and abusive marriage. I've tried, and have failed a couple previous times to escape. I am asking for only enough for the car and nothing else.

My neighbor has a little 2002 Ford Focus he said he would sell for $500.00

If we have to sleep in it for a little while, we will. It'd be better than where we are.

Update. We got the car thanks to a very incredible lady! Truly thankful for her! We got out and have been sleeping in the car since Monday, September 29th. It's starting to get cold at night now and although we have plenty of blankets I would love to get my daughter to the dv shelter about 4 hours away. Any bit of money for the rest of this journey will go into gas to get there, plus a little for food. We truly appreciate everything! Truly the love and support have been incredible! THANK YOU!

Update: We made it safely to the shelter! I CANT BEGIN TO THANK EVERYONE ENOUGH WHO HAVE HELPED US! YOU ALL ARE GOD SENDS! There have been some bumps along the way. I currently was hospitalized shortly after arriving to the shelter due to a post op infection. I was in there for 3 weeks or so. They finally let me out on Halloween so I could take my daughter out for some Halloween fun and trick-o-treating.

I'm setting a new goal of 2000 for attorney fees. My ex is now looking for us and since I'm not cleared to go back to work yet I can't afford an attorney to start the paperwork to protect my daughter. I am currently looking for work even tho the dr advises against it until I'm 100% healed but I can't wait that long. I NEED MY DAUGHTER TO BE PROTECTED.. I need an attorney but no attorney will see me with out a $200 consultation fee let alone a $2200 fee to even start the paperwork.

UPDATE: He found us! I had just spent the last of my money to buy my daughter some warmer clothes and a battery for my car since it died so my daughter and I could still get around and not have to worry about asking someone to jump start me everytime I shut it off. As i was putting the battery in my car someone grabbed my hair from behind and started whaling on me. IT WAS HIM! He started choking me saying that i would never be able to get away from him and that i would die before he let that happen. Iam so grateful to whoever the 2 guys were that jumped in to pull him off of me! I honestly don't think I'd be alive right now of it wasn't for them! Yes I did press charges he was arrested, but he has money and family and has probably already out on bail by now. I just spent the last of what little money. We need to keep moving and get across state lines. I want to put miles and states apart from him! Thank everyone who has taken the time to hear my story and help me on this journey to escape a bad situation with my daughter! We are now back to sleeping in the car. I have a few cases of water , but running out of bread, pb&j for sandwiches so my daughter has something to eat. So we will need a little for food if possible. With the government shut down i cant get any help in that area at the moment. EVEN JUST A DOLLAR will help us get that much further away. I feel like a failure for even have to ask for help. But I don't have anyone it is just me and my daughter. I never knew my dad and my mom died when i was 15. So i cant just run to them for help in a situation lile this. We are once again sleeping in our car trying to keep moving. The weather is getting colder, so I'm hoping to make it a few states over and start applying for jobs. So I can get my daughter out of the cold. I'm also hoping to find an attorney willing to help me with paperwork to help keep my daughter safe, so any extra money will go to that. Even if that means I don't eat and my daughter does eat so save that money I will.
