I hope you're all doing well!

My name is Gaetano Vestris Terrana, and I've got a little story to share with you.

As some of you know, I've been living a bit of a rollercoaster lately. You know me as a freelance dancer, teacher, and choreographer, but life has had some unexpected twists in store for me.

So, about three years ago, right in the middle of the pandemic chaos, I found myself in Berlin, trying to make my mark in the city's dance scene, when all my exciting dance projects got canceled. I decided to pivot my journey a bit, and I ended up enrolling in the MA program in Illustration at Falmouth University in the UK. Due to the pandemic, I had to attend all my classes online from Berlin, and I am proud to say that I graduated with merit in September 2022.

I was all set to jump back into the world of dance with my new qualifications, but then life threw another curveball my way. I suffered a serious fracture in my left foot, and that put my dancing on hold for months. And because of it, it has been tough to maintain a steady income. To make ends meet, I've been teaching ballet classes, which I absolutely love, and I've even tried my hand in retail and the food industry, even though those attempts didn't quite pan out due to my teaching commitments.

My love and passion for dance still burn brightly, and I'm now embarking on two exciting new educational journeys:

1. I'm diving headfirst into a 4-year professional Feldenkrais Teacher Training program with the amazing Alan Questel in Brussels. This program is all about helping people discover their potential through movement and somatic education. It's perfect for a dancer like me, offering not only in-depth anatomical training but also valuable pedagogical skills.

2. Just recently, I got accepted into the Dance Pedagogy Program of the Deutscher Verband für Tanz-Pädagogik, starting in October 2023. In just a year's time, I'll be fully qualified to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers, which means more opportunities for meaningful employment.

Now, here's where I could use a little support. While I'm back to being a full-time student for a year, I'll be facing some financial challenges. That's why I'm reaching out to you, my friends, for a helping hand. Whether it's a big or small contribution, it truly means the world to me.
