This sweet girl is Eva Marie.

She passed away from liver cancer on Monday, December 8, 2025. She was fifteen years old.

Her last meal was a cheeseburger and plenty of her favorite treats (Buddy Biscuits, pb flavor).

Eva was my best friend’s dog, but I adored this sweet old gal. She was always happy to see you, she only growled when she was happy and excited, and she was best friends with her little siblings (two cats- Tobi and Midnight…and Lynx before that).

My best friend is absolutely crushed about losing her, and I wanted to make some kind of tribute to Eva.

My bestie’s favorite flower is the daffodil- I thought that was fitting because daffodils represent new beginnings.

So, I’m trying to raise money for the minimum donation for the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance, for a daffodil tribute.

Neither of us live near there, but I love the idea of Eva spreading joy somewhere far away.

If you could spare a dollar or so, I’d really appreciate it. My best friend has no idea that I’m doing this.
