My name is Chris Burke, I’m 40 years old from Canberra, Australia.
I’m the proud Dad of a 5-year-old boy who means the world to me, and I’m engaged to an incredible woman who I can’t wait to marry next year.
I was told I could have as little as three months to live after being diagnosed with metastatic osteosarcoma in my lungs — a rare and aggressive form of cancer that very few people my age experience.
After exhausting every available treatment option in Australia, I’ve found a specialist cancer clinic in Tijuana, Mexico, that offers advanced therapies not accessible here. I truly believe this is my best — and possibly my only — chance to continue this fight.
My goal is simple: I want to keep being the Dad my little boy needs, to see him grow, and to stand beside my fiancée at our wedding next year. Being at my own wedding, and walking into that day healthy and strong, is a dream I’m determined to make real.
The costs, however, are significant — the treatment program must be paid upfront and in U.S. dollars, which makes the total amount even higher. Every donation will go directly toward:
- Economy flights to and from Tijuana
- In-patient accommodation at the medical facility
- Cancer treatment and medical support
Even the smallest contribution helps give me more time with the people I love most. If you can’t donate, sharing this page means the world to me.
My greatest wish is to keep being here — not just as a survivor, but as a Dad, a husband, and a family man.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping me fight for my future, and for the future of my little boy and my soon-to-be wife.
