A Cushion of Support During A Tragic Time - For Tina

Tina Butler is a deep feeler, super considerate, BIG hearted & wears her great, big heart on her sleeve. She is the nurse who people feel so lucky to have care for them as she pours her big ole heart into them. Throughout her career she has impacted thousands of families. She is the friend who shows up for you, no matter what. Tina would do anything to help someone. But more importantly, we all know that for Tina, being Mom to her three “Boyz” is her Whole World .

Tina is currently facing the impossible, as her oldest son Zachary died tragically in the Kananaski mountains, Mount Smuts, in Alberta, on Sunday August 11th and his body was found the following day. This is a devastation no parent should ever be forced to experience.

In times of such horror, bills and living expenses continue. There is no way to press pause on the costs of daily living; therefore, I am calling on the community to rally around Tina, to help with a donation to help cover household bills for her & her immediate family. Every dollar counts; no donation is too small & will make a difference. The last thing Tina should be worried about right now is her living expenses. Folks have asked how they can help, and while this is challenging for her pride, we mentioned it to her as she is in the heights of grief, and it’s evident that Tina needs time off work, away from her job demands as a registered nurse, to allow her to grieve, as her heart and soul navigates this tragic and challenging new reality: her life without her first born “baby boy” her son, Zachary.

Any funds that are raised will go directly to Tina to provide her a cushion of support so she does not feel rushed to return to work for the sake of paying her bills. There is no “zoning out on her job” due to the cerebral demands of being a registered nurse, let alone for her to find a new job as a nurse practitioner, from which she graduated, only in June.
