A cure for John

As very few may know, my oldest brother John Thimas recently received the diagnosis of testicular cancer. With what started as a simple visit to the emergency room for back pain, to a standard follow up appointment with his primary care physician. A prophylactic ultrasound was scheduled which turned into a urology appointment, then quickly evolving into urgent surgery to remove a “suspicious” mass. The biopsy confirmed our worst and suspected fears, that this mass was in fact testicular cancer and his months of back pain was directly being caused by his cancer that had metastasized into the lymph nodes surrounding his kidneys. Unfortunately, after urgent surgery to remove the mass, it was found that his tumor marker numbers had doubled, all the while being out of work recovering from surgery. And so begins what began as 9 weeks of chemotherapy, to a now 12 week long chemotherapy treatment. My brother begins chemotherapy April 29th, this coming Monday. I want to help support my brother and his wife during this unfortunate and unforeseen life hurdle they are facing together. I want to lift some of the burden and weight of this off of their shoulders at this extremely difficult time. I am hoping that by reaching out we can form an army of prayers, positive vibes, and support for my brother and my sister-in-law.
