Hi, my name is Melissa, and I’m doing this go fund me in honour of my beautiful baby girl Millie who was born sleeping on 7/03/2023 at 19:57pm weighing a tiny 5lb 1oz, 18 inches long, a full head of hair, chubby cheeks and the cutest little features. I really would like to donate a cuddle cot to the princess royal maternity hospital in Glasgow along side comfort packages for other grieving parents going through the loss of their baby.

A cuddle cot is a system used for stillborn babies of all gestations or infants who have passed away to keep them cold in order to preserve these tiny little baby’s and allow their parents/family more time with them after they have passed, as someone who has been in this situation this meant the absolute world to me having this system and allowed me 5 bittersweet but beautiful days making memories with Millie,

However, in the UK it is £1,440 for a cuddle cot and the hospital are crying out for them due to lack of maintenence or shortages, meaning this doesn’t allow family’s time with their little ones that they so deserve! I have provided a comfort package recently to the butterfly suite and met a beautiful mother currently grieving her little one who was so so grateful so I also would like to offer comfort packages which will include things like; picture frames, inkless impression kits, some toiletries, snacks and skin care items like facemasks lip balm & other things to help mothers who have just given birth and hopefully give them courage that they are not alone in their grief, that there are people who will go above and beyond to try and make their dark days a little bit brighter. Anything at all big or small is appreciated, or even a share, but in honour of my beautiful girl Millie, giving something back will let her memory live on by trying to make a difference.
