A Cry for Help: Save 12-Year-Old Chi Bless in Cameroon

Dear Friends and Supporters,

I come to you with a heavy heart and a humble plea to help save the life of a brave 12-year-old boy named Chi Bless in Cameroon. Two years ago, Chi Bless was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, a life-threatening condition that has since turned his childhood into a series of hospital visits and painful dialysis sessions.

In many parts of the world, children like Chi Bless have a fighting chance at recovery through kidney transplants. Unfortunately, in Cameroon, no kidney donor program exists, and dialysis is the only lifeline keeping him alive. But even that lifeline is now at risk.

Due to the repeated use of the vascular access sites for dialysis, both his arms are now failing. The left arm is completely blocked, and the right one is barely usable. The doctors urgently need to perform surgery to insert a new vascular access (fistula) so dialysis can continue — without it, Chi Bless will not survive.

The cost of this essential surgery is $1,600, but the family also needs help covering the hospital stay, daily medications, and basic necessities like food. Chi Bless’s mother, his only caregiver, has exhausted all she has. She can no longer keep up with the overwhelming medical bills while still trying to provide for her son’s most basic needs.

That’s why we are setting a fundraising goal of $6,000 — to cover:

Life-saving surgery and medical procedures

Post-surgical care and hospitalization

Daily medications

Food and living expenses for Chi Bless and his mother, Frida.

Chi Bless should be in school, laughing with friends and dreaming of his future. Instead, he is fighting for his life. With your help, we can give him hope. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference.
