For the past year, BeWild Reptile Rescue has been desperately trying to expand. At any given time, we typically have a waitlist of 50 animals that need to come in. After struggling to find a commercial space, we decided to renovate a 28 x 28 ft detached garage on our property. On September 28th 2022, we paid Longhorn Home Solutions of Sanford, NC a deposit of $3,339.00 and set a start work date of November 28. First, we were told they needed a couple more weeks. Then a month. On December 13th, they told us they'd get someone out to start on the work. That was the last time we heard from them.

The company has deleted its business page and won't respond to calls, texts, or emails. Our numbers have been blocked. The address that the business was registered to is now vacant. We will be pursuing this in small claims court, but we know collection may be a challenge and in the meantime...we're stuck. We're NOT giving up on recouping this money, but donations will allow us to continue our expansion plans and help cover the costs of pursuing this in court.

We can't thank you all enough for the support you've already shown our rescue and the animals in our care. We will use this money to continue bettering the lives of injured, sick, and displaced exotic animals! Any additional money will go towards the expansion (as the $3,339 we lost was only for the deposit) or veterinary bills.
