Hello
My name is Jill Wright. Welcome to my go fund me page!
I am organising a charity concert titled 'Songs I’ll Never Sing' to be held on Sunday 19th February 2023 at the beautiful St Paul’s Church (aka Actors Church) in Covent Garden, London.
It will bring together a host of West End musical theatre performers who will sing the songs that they would not normally be able to sing due to their age, race, gender or casting, a classic Broadway ‘miscast’.
This concert was penned by my late son Harry, a musical theatre performer himself, whilst he was receiving treatment for a brain tumour in 2018. He didn’t have the opportunity to bring it to fruition, so I am doing this on his behalf.
It will be performed in celebration of Harry and all monies raised will be split equally between Crisis and The Brain Tumour Charity.
If you would like a ticket for the concert, please follow the link below:
If you are unable to make it but would like to make a donation and help us raise much-needed funds for our chosen charities then please donate below.
All donations are greatly appreciated and no amount is too small.
Thank you so much
Jill x
Why are my chosen charities so important?
- Crisis aim to help people out of homelessness for good. This is done through education, training and support with housing, employment and health.
- They also offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales.
- Crisis works with landlords to ensure a supply of places to live and provide homeless people tools and knowledge they need to rent successfully.
- Crisis also carry out pioneering research into the causes and consequences of homelessness, and campaigns for the changes needed to end it for everyone.
- The Brain Tumour Charity is the Third Sector’s Charity of The Year 2018. It is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours - the biggest cancer killer of children and under 40’s - making a difference every day to the lives of people with a brain tumour and their families.
- It funds pioneering research to increase survival, raises awareness and symptoms of brain tumours and provides support for everyone affected.
- The charities goals are to double survival within 10 years in the UK and to halve the negative impact that brain tumours have on quality of life.
