On Saturday, an unexpected and severe storm swept through our area, leaving behind significant destruction. During the peak of the storm, the large tree in our front yard snapped and collapsed directly onto our home, leaving a massive hole in our roof.

The Impact & Urgent Need

Beyond the structural collapse of the roof, the impact of the falling tree severed and severely damaged our home’s primary electrical wiring.

While we are working diligently with our homeowner’s insurance provider to assess the structural damage, our immediate and most critical hurdle is the electrical system. Because the wiring poses a major safety hazard, insurance requirements state that the main electrical infrastructure must be repaired and certified out-of-pocket before full structural claim processing and broader roof repairs can move forward.

We have received an official assessment and estimate: $5,300 in immediate, out-of-pocket costs is required to restore safe electrical wiring to the house and prevent further risk.
