Hello, my name is Amal from the Netherlands, and I’m fundraising to support the community initiative ’Grown by Our Hands’ created by Professor Abdelraouf Elmanama, and supported by Sabreen Abo Zaiter, Renad Abu-Dan, as well as a group of specialists in agriculture, poultry and rabbit farming in Gaza.

Amid the ongoing war and widespread destruction that has devastated livelihoods and infrastructure in Gaza, hundreds of thousands of families are suffering from severe food insecurity. ‘Grown by our hands’ is a grassroots community initiative launched from within Gaza. It aims to strengthen local resilience by promoting home-based food production, encouraging rooftop and empty-space gardening, providing families with seeds, tools, soil, and training.

We believe that solutions must come from within, and that empowering people to grow their own food is a practical step toward dignity and survival. Your support will help us deliver essential gardening kits and resources to hundreds of families in need.
