Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to read about Stacy's story.  During the summer of 2021, Stacy began having intense abdominal cramping along with a host of other abnormal issues. After a string of doctor appointments, imaging tests, and blood work, she had her answer: uterine fibroids. 

She was able to find a clinic that would see her without insurance. However, the hospital would not set up any appointments unless she could prove she had insurance. Through a stroke of luck, and a hefty dose of generosity, she was able to get insurance through her wife, Ashley. The doctors are confident that these are non-cancerous fibroid tumors, but with a family history of ovarian cancer, we are anxious for that confirmation.  Weighing the risks and the benefits, Stacy made the choice to have a Hysterectomy. Because of the size of the tumors and genetics, this will be an intensive surgery. The doctor expects at least 3 days in the hospital. Surgery date is scheduled for November 10th. 

We (her family) will be flying to san Diego from Idaho over a few week period to help take care of her and the animals while Ashley works. While healing and recovering, she will not be able to work, putting a major strain on finances. Any financial contributions made will go directly to Stacy. We understand that a monetary donation may not be possible, but would still love well wishes and prayers. Stacy is such a genuine, caring, beautiful person, and if we can collectively ease her burden even a little bit, then she will be able to continue shining her bright light for a long time to come.
