A Coffeehouse Inspired by Mama's Kindness

Our mama lived a life full of love, compassion, and kindness. She was a good friend to all she knew, (and never met a stranger), a listener to those who needed to vent, and would cry with you during the tough times.

My sister, Caroline, and I, Kayla, have always dreamed about opening a coffee business together. Countless hours spent talking about what our purpose would be, and we realized it's been clear since we were kids. We experienced firsthand the example our mama set for us, and knew we wanted to be that person for others, which is the inspiration for Scarlet & Sage Coffeehouse: Brewing Community, Pouring Kindness.

We plan to serve the military community, especially since Kayla is a milspouse, and would love to travel all over NC (or further) to local events/pop-ups meeting those from all walks of life. We look forward to serving amazing coffee with friendly conversation, and a whole lot of fellowship.

We're currently working on securing a trailer, equipment, products, inventory, etc. There's also the cost of start-up (permits, licenses, and more) with any new business. But we're confident once open our hard work and planning will lead to success in the long run. This has been a lifelong dream of ours, and we truly believe our mama would feel so honored to be how this idea came about. Even though it's been a little over three years since we lost her, we know she's cheering us on every step of the way.
