"A Climber's Guide to Lolo Dirtchoss"

Hi, our names are Mack Moore and Harrison Schutt. We are deep in the process of writing a rock climbing guidebook for the Lolo Pass area in Montana. After compiling photos, descriptions, directions and maps for the 200+ documented routes we are nearing a publishable book. In order to print the final product, we hope to raise $2500 to cover as much of the printing and publishing costs as possible.

We feel like Lolo is a place worth sharing. The Lolo Pass area hosts one of the largest concentrations of high quality climbing near Missoula, and is by far the most confusing place to navigate. While the traditional worth-of-mouth style of route sharing keeps traffic low, environmental impact low, and climbing/development styles consistent, we believe putting these routes in print will enable new groups of climbers to develop their own sense of place, adventure, and self in Lolo. We hope a new breath of life will touch long forgotten crags and discover newer ones.
