Hi guys,
I'm setting off for another solo challenge on the 5th June but this time it's not just my general notions behind the trip. I'll be attempting to climb Kilimanjaro, Tanzania (highest mountain in Africa and one of the Seven Summits) in support and honour of my remarkable mumma and the many, many, many more who share a similar battle to hers. Last year after almost four years in remission, we got the devastating news that Mum's cancer had returned but this time the diagnosis came with an additional label - metastatic which means in basic terms the cancer has advanced beyond its original site and as of today, there is no cure. I will be heading to Africa solo and will join a group there on the 7th June for the climb. I'm hoping to raise funds for two remarkable charities that are doing immense work both for answers to the many anomalies that still exist for cancer and to greatly support families affected. I will be splitting donations 50/50. All donations will go straight to charity, the trip is entirely self funded.
If you think you can spare a coffee/pint/anything at all, I would really, really appreciate it and will kindly repay you with pictures of my sweaty, traumatised face post summit! :)
