A Clear Look For Jade

Jade nació el 17 de julio de 2007 enMedellín - Colombia. No se imaginan mi alegría, naciórojita como todos los bebes, algo que yo no sabía, enuna semana su piel se aclaró y quedó blanca como la leche, su cabello rubio claro, abrió sus ojos ¡que hermoso fue verlos!,eran azules y grises, desde ese momento la luz de su mirada ilumina mi vida.

 
Yo soy Alexander Piñeros artista de circodesde hace 20 años, ésta hermosa profesión me ha llevado por varios países conociendo el mundo enextraordinarias experiencias, soy Payaso y viajocompartiendo alegría, sinceridad y pasión, contandohistorias y creando momentos divertidos.

Hace 13 años llegó Jade, mi hija, una niña hermosa que cambió mi vida, del jardín de niños pasó al coliseo de gimnasia, a los 3 años y medio empezó a entrenar, desde ese momento empezó una carrera deportivaexitosa, Campeóna de torneos intercolegiados, Campeóna regional de Antioquia, y así entre muchosotros logrós, los cuales hicieron que la invitarán a formar parte de la Selección Nacional de GimnasiaFemenina Infantil, su título más importante es de Campeóna Sudaméricana en barras asimétricas, logradoen Buenos Aires, Argentina 2018.

Siempre ha mostrado gusto por el dibujo, el diseño de modas y otras formas de arte visual.

A los 9 años le diagnosticaron miopía y fotosensibilidad, comenzando a usar gafas para mejorarsu visión, y 2años más tarde comenzaron los primerossíntomas de CHALAZIONES OCULARES, que es un padecimiento ocular que consiste en la formación de bultos o quistes en el párpado superior o inferior comoconsecuencia de la acumulación de grasa dentro de una o varias glándulas de Meibomio, se trata de una glándula sebácea que produce sustancias esenciales para mantener la película lagrimal y evitar el síndrome de ojo seco, este puede ocasionar irritación conjuntival, y si es muy grande puede incluso ejercer presión sobre el globo ocular y producir astigmatismo.

Desde entonces ha llevado un tratamiento adecuado con medicamentos, sesiones láser para eliminar bacterias y estimular la lubricacion del ojo, y limpiezas ocularesque ella se realiza diariamente, sin embargo algunaserupciónes permanecen en el interior del párpado, afectando así su desempeño deportivo y escolar, y su  desarrollo emocional al truncar muchas de sus actividades sociales. La desicion final del médicoespecialista fue realizar una intervención quirúrgicapara retirar  estos quistes, La cirugía de chalazión se realiza con anestesia local y consiste en realizar una pequeña incisión por la parte interior del párpadoafectado para extraer el contenido de la glándulaafectada sin dejar ninguna marca visible. Es una cirugíapoco agresiva pero delicada . En los casos más grandeso con afectación de la piel, podría ser necesario un pequeño corte de 1-2 mm en la piel, que suele ser imperceptible una vez cicatrizado.

El costo de medicamentos y tratamiento previo ha sidoelevado, por lo que realizarla cirugía y llevar a cabo la recuperación están fuera de mi alcance, ya que hacienden a una suma total de 2.000 US. Teniendo encuenta la situación de la pandemia mundial, mi trabajoestá paralizado, no hay teatros, circos ni plazas publicaspara salir a luchar como siempre, es una situación que me genera impotencia, por lo que, como padre, deseover bien la salud de mi hija. Es por esta razón que solicito tu apoyo para lograr que Jade siga soñando con ser diseñadora de modas, campeóna de gimnasia y mirasu vida sin obstáculos.

Jade was born on July 17, 2007 in Medellín, Colombia.  You cannot imagine my joy! She was born red, like all babies, something that I did not know. In a week, her skin cleared and was white as milk with light blonde hair. She opened her eyes; how beautiful it was to see them which were blue and grey. From that moment the light of her gaze has illuminated my life.

 
I am Alexander Piñeros, a circus artist for 20 years. This beautiful profession has taken me to several countries and thus getting to know the world through extraordinary experiences. I am a Clown and I travel sharing joy, sincerity, and passion, telling stories and creating fun moments.

13 years ago, Jade, my daughter, arrived a beautiful girl who changed my life. From kindergarten she went to the gymnastics coliseum, and at three and a half she started training. From that moment she began a successful sports career: Champion of IntercollegiateTournaments, Regional Champion of Antioquia, among many other achievements, which led to her being invited to be part of the National Children's Gymnastics National Team, with her most important title, the South American Champion on uneven bars, which she achieved in Buenos Aires, Argentina 2018.

She has always shown a talent for drawing, fashion design, and other forms of visual art.

At the age of nine, she was diagnosed with Myopia and Photosensitivity. She began to wear glasses to improve her vision, and two years later, the first symptoms of Eye Chalazion began, which is an eye condition that consists of the formation of lumps or cysts in the upper or lower eyelid. This is a result of the accumulation of fat within one or more meibomian glands. It is an oil gland that produces essential substances to maintain the tear film and to avoid dry eye syndrome. Without this essential substance, it can cause conjunctival irritation, and if it is large it can even put pressure on the eyeball and produce astigmatism.

Since then, she has had an adequate treatment with medications, laser sessions to eliminate bacteria and stimulate the lubrication of the eye, and eye cleanings that she performs daily. However, some eruptions remain on the inside of the eyelid, thus affecting her sports and school performance, and her emotional development by curtailing many of her social activities. 

The final decision from the specialist doctor is to perform a surgical intervention to remove these cysts.The Chalazion surgery is performed under local anaesthesia and consists of making a small incision on the inside of the affected eyelid to extract the content of the affected gland without leaving any visible mark.  It is a mild but delicate surgery.  In larger cases or with skin involvement, a small 1-2 mm cut in the skin may be necessary, which is usually imperceptible once healed.

The cost of medications and prior treatment has been high, so paying for surgery and recovery are out of my reach, costing a total of US $ 2,000.  Considering the situation of the global pandemic, my work is paralyzed. There are no theatres, circuses, or public squares to go out to perform as usual. It is a situation that generates impotence. As a father, I want to provide and see the health of my daughter. It is for this reason that I request your support to help Jade continue to dream of being a fashion designer, gymnastics champion, and see her life without obstacles.
