A City of Alpharetta Bench for Liz
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Kathy Peters, and I've been a neighbor to Liz for as long as I can remember.
As I'm typing this note, Cub Scout Pack 1429 is preparing to plant a tree near the City of Alpharetta Library in Liz's memory. Liz contributed her time and love to many things but scouting was especially close to her heart and it was through scouting that she was able to meet and impact so many of you...
As a tribute to Liz, we are asking Pack 1429, Troop 51, and Troop 432 families (and anyone else who would like to participate), to contribute to the installation of a park bench to be placed in between the Alpharetta library and concert pavilion, in close in proximity to the tree being planted. We have received approval from the City of Alpharetta and the bench will be inscribed with the following plaque:

Liz once taught me that trees are like people, each is different, and each is important!
Nearly 10 years ago, when the City of Alpharetta was building the City Center, Liz and her mom Becky learned that a specimen tree was going to be cut down to make way for development. So, in typical Liz fashion, she joined in to SAVE THE TREE. As you walk nearby Brooke Street Park, look for the tree, and rest in the shade as you think of Liz.
