A Christmas wish for a very sick boy
On December 4th, 2019 Kasai had a sore in his mouth. He was checked for the flu, a stomach bug but he had something far more serious going on. He was taken to the hospital because medical professionals were not taking his mother's concern seriously. At the hospital he was diagnosed with Lemierre Syndrome. Lemierre's syndrome occurs when bacteria from a throat infection spread to a major blood vessel and then poison the bloodstream and cause blood clots. He then had emergency surgery. He remains hospitalized and needs another surgery. As you would expect, his mother is by his side. I'm asking everyone to help this family, especially at the holidays. He will make it home for Christmas but his mom isn't able to work or shop for the holidays. Her Thomas Edison Charter School family is going to buy a tree, decorate, and buy some gifts for the family. Anything will help, it doesn't matter the amount! We can all do it together! If this was your child, you would want some help as well. There is only 12 days left for shopping! Let's make their Christmas Merry and a Happy Holiday!
